Hello

May I add some thoughts & questions to consider before B&W owners jump
into the pool with big bucks !

The backside cache is only 512K and not 1MB like my G4 500MHZ ZIF.

So, how much better operating response would this G3 800/512 have
over a G4 500/1MB?
"Blazing " ? .I will bet not very much more , but then ?

How about the extra heat that would be generated?
With G4 upgrade , I had to go to the larger V2 heatsink and an add-on
fan to keep the G4 500MHZ CPU down to 40C at 22C ambient!
And to do this: I have three internal hard drives installed . I unmount
two of them and only run my bootup ( primary) drive to work my stuff. I
only mount the other volumes for backing up my primary drive data, as
required.
