The "driver" in question is the SCSI Manager 4.3, which is a functional part 
of all pre-X MacOSes after 7.6.

FWIW, the easiest card to "divert" is the ACARD, as ACARD actually makes a 
FLASHer which is designed for this specific purpose. The second easiest card 
to "divert" is the Promise Ultra66, which went to End Of Life a loooooong 
time ago, and which has been out of stock in the distributor network for 
quite a while. Plus, there are several revisions of the Promise card, and 
each requires a different set of quite similar mods.
