Hi, All,
Hope someone can help. Been offered a Seagate SCSI drive, (ST373405LC),
which the spec sheet says MUST only be connected to a LVD card. I presume
HVD will blow it.
I have a G3/300MT with an Apple OEM fast/wide SCSI card. System profiler
reports:-

Card Type: scsi
Card Name: Apple53C875Card
Card Model NCR,875
Card ROM# Not available
Card revision 4,120
Card vendor ID 1000

I believe these cards are ATTO Ecpress PCI cards. and ATTO's websites lists
both LVD & HVD cards under Express.

Does any Mac tech guru know exactly what the spec of the Apple OEM cards is,
and will they support LVD drives without screwing them up?

I desperately need to replace the two IBM DDRS-34560W 4.5Gb drives I have,
as they're bulging at the seams.

I have also put in a Quantum Fireball 4.3Gb (pulled from a G3DT) on the ATA
bus. Would I be better off replacing the ATA drive with a 60Gb IDE drive, or
am I better off sticking with the SCSI for speed?

I use Photoshop & Bryce extensively.

Thanks for looking, hope you can advise.
