G'day from Oz, Ryan Will 9.2.2 work on a 7500? I think it should.
It's a free downloads (in pieces) somewhere on Apples site, or grab a copy from someone. A huge number of problems disappear with it installed. Better back up your existing system though, just in case. Install without replacing 3rd party extensions. Apples 9.2.2 FireWire extensions do away with the need for SOME 3rd party ones. If you have so many FireWire extensions, I'd remove them before installing 9.2.2 and see how things go without them. Take note of the Apple extensions. If nothing works, throw half the 3rd party back in (or a group of them just from one manufacturer). Nothing again, half of the remainder. Keep track of what you put in. If you eventually get them all in, and it still doesn't work, remove the 3rd party ones, and put them in one at a time. Very laborious, but extension conflicts cause more of this sort of thing than anything else, and need to be ruled out before looking at hardware. It's more unusual, but some other types 3rd party extensions might also be conflicting e.g. usb, DVD, etc. Regards Santa -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
