Thanks, Philip, for the details. Just hooked my keyboard back up to the
'Book after a cleansing in straight dishwasher water with a little soap.
Works great, looks great., after a short drying-out period.

I guess it'll have to do until the "excess of ammonia" gets to it and I'll
have to buy another one for 15 bucks.
