I have the Sonnet ATA100 card. It doesn't include a hard drive, just the cables to connect up to four internal hard drives. I think it works great. I bought a 20 gig and just recently an 80 gig drive. They are both connected using the Sonnet card. (One important point though -- you must format the drives while they are connected to the card in order for the Mac OS to recognize them as potential boot devices.) Most FireWire hard drives are $150-200. If you go with the card, you'll pay $100 for the card and around $100 for a decent hard drive. However, the price goes down for the next hard drive you buy -- just the $100 internal drive will be needed. Since your B&W can easily hold three drives in the bottom of the case, this might be an option you want to consider.
