Hi all. Just rejoined the list after a bit of an absence. I've also just signed up for DSL and have a few questions.
I have three computers at home that I'd like to have access to DSL. All are connected to the internet via internal 56k modems at this point. I have a G4 Quicksilver running mostly OS 9, eventually will switch to X. Husband has a G3 iBook running OS X all the time. Kids have a G3 iMac running OS 9 all the time. Phone company is providing modem and filters. I understand I need firewall protection. What do I get? My husband would like to be able to roam around the house with his laptop. How do I set that up? I've heard for Linksys Access Point something-or-other. Would that do the trick? Are there any other hardware / software items we would need? Would we need to install some sort of network cards - or is that what ethernet is for? Thanks for any advice/help you have to offer. -- Kathy K [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.spotart.net -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
