Reminds me of recent problem I had when I overclocked my B&W. Wouldnt boot when I reset jumpers as described in MacAddict. Put the original jumper block cover back on, but still wouldnt boot, from either partition on hard drive, or CD. Uh oh. Took jumper cover back off and then I noticed something. The inner brass part of a jumper was still in place. It had come out when I removed the jumper, so was still "active" and produced an unusable configuration. Might be worth checking in your case too. As an aside, I then rechecked jumper settings using this web site: http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/G3-ZONE/yosemite/OC.html I discovered that I had set jumpers wrong, as I had misread the MacAddict instructions. The result of this was that the hard drive had become unbootable. So, I set the jumpers correctly and was able to start from a System 9 installer CD. I couldnt mount the original partitions. So, I used Norton Systemworks CD to start and it managed to fix the partition that had Jaguar (OSX 10.2.2) on it. Could see files on OS9 partition, but couldnt fix it well enough for me to start from it. However, by using the Disk Utility in Jaguar, I was able to fix the OS9 partition completely and it now works normally. I was even able to do the overclock using the proper jumper settings. tafkar We're here to help each other get through this thing, whatever it is. --Mark Vonnegut -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
