I just finished assembling my beige g3 mt. I installed a new maxter 20gb diamond max plus ide drive in it. as well as a lg 16x10x40 cdrw. I have both drives on seperate ide channels. they are both set to master. They are both on the master port on the ide cables. both cables are brand new. The drive is completely empty, only a slight low level formating. The box indicated that the hard drive is mac compatable. I put the cd disc 1 into the cd drive, reboot the machine (push the lit green button on the front of the mac until it powers down and then push it again to boot up) and hold down "c" (the caps key is "up") and I get a white screen with what looks like a tiny solid (not blinking) underline at the far upper left hand corner of the screen. any ideas?
