I know this is OT, but there isn't really any list which covers Apple's printers so I'm hoping hoping no one will mind if I sneak this in...
I recently had a Color Laserwriter 12/600 PS shipped in from interstate. The problem is that it seems to have been jolted in transit and doesn't want to work. When I turn it on, the power-on self test runs, and seems to complete. However, the Black Toner light then comes on (steady) and the Paper Out and Paper Jam lights start flashing (alternating). I've looked in the service manual, and the closest thing I can find to a problem which matches these symptoms is a loose, ill-fitted or otherwise troublesome toner carousel. However, when this happens, the Fuser Oil and/or Photocondutor Cartridge lights are also supposed to illumiate, which doesn't happen on my machine. Does anyone have even the slightest clue as to what might be causing this? I'm cross-posting this across a few lists because I'm desperate for ideas and need to get this thing working in the worst possible way as soon as possible.
