Hi All,
Have 450mhz B&W G3, using scsi HD. I bot off ebay and have no manuals.
Want to add IBM DDRS-34560 HD, using extra 68-pin scsi connector on
internal ribbon cable.
IBM HD has one set of 12 pairs of pins for iID bit, enable auto spin,
scsi term on, etc., etc.
Has another set of 6 pairs of pins on end centered between 68-pin
cable connection and 4-pin power connection. I believe this set would
be where you select it as slave or master drive, but no extra jumpers
and no info as to which to use for what purpose.
I have tried IBM website, and since they sold their HD business to
Hitachi, I get referred to the Hitachi site, but they do not appear
to have any specs or information on this drive.
Anybody out there with any ideas about how to properly install this 2nd HD.
TIA for any assistance.
