RE.; My opinion,,,Disc warrior,, and it came with a defraging program, 
also system optimizer is a free download.as is mac janitor, It has been 
my luck so far, if disc warrior doesnt fix it, its time to fresh reload 
my system as opposed to trying to patch it.  your mileage will vary
