They can, usually, though, the interference can be gotten rid of by just moving them apart a wee bit, or angling them slightly in respect to each other. If they're centered in front of you, you'll likely do that a bit anyway. Right now, at work I have a Sony 19" and Sony 17" monitor (Gateway brand) jammed up next to each other. They're angled towrd the center just slightly; I can see some distortion if they're lined up perfectly. However, a greater source of annoyance is the fact that with two different video cards, even when the monitors are set to the same nominal frequency, they'll differ just slightly, so you'll get a tiuny bit of crawl on them, on up, one down. How noticable this is will depend on what you're looking at, so changing the background can help. I have dark backgrounds on the two at work which does minimize it somewhat. Also at work our office is lit considerably brighter than my setup at home, which makes it less noticeable. That's one thing I do like about driving both my monitors off my Radeon 7000...they're rock steady next to each other. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
