I'm assuming your beige has a USB card? Then any of the USB adapters 
should allow this theoretically ( though I am having trouble with my 
first setup which I will ask about later).

Meanwhile for your home G3 to work on the church wireless network, 
you need to be physically close, like within a 1000 feet or so... I'm 
not sure about the 802.11g, it may have a greater range... although 
there are schemes for boosting that output up to a mile or two.

Someone else has already mentioned the main longer range non-wireless 
options available.

You should be aware that if you choose to boost your wireless signal, 
it offers more opportunity for people to piggyback internet access 
off your signal, or potentially get into your network, though the 
security encryption that should be set up on the network is probably 
sufficient to foil most attempts to get into your network.
