Hello, I recently bought a G3 mini-tower using OS 9.2.1. It originally was owned by National Geographic and they had all kinds of networks and security controls as well as programs I never heard of. I've finally cleared everything out I don't need, and the computer is working fine. Now my first question is this. I originally had a Powermac 8500, and I upgraded carbonlib from 1.5 to 1.6. When I did this the computer started freezing quite frequently. I removed 1.6, and everything was all right. Now that I have the G3, do you think 1.6 will work? My next question is this. Today a note came up saying software update could not be enabled. The icon is in the control section, but when I click on it the same note comes up. How do I get this to work? Thanks
