I'm wondering if anyone here has tried this yet... In a PMac 7500, I have an XLR8 CarrierZIF card with a G3/300 ZIF (pulled from a Beige G3). I may have the opportunity to get a Sonnet Encore G4/500 ZIF for someone for next to nothing (coincidentally, currently running in that same Beige G3).
Anyone know if the Sonnet G4 ZIF will work in the XLR8 CarrierZIF card? Would I need to run both the XLR8 control panel/extension as well as the Sonnet Processor Upgrade extension?
