Makes a difference here.  My machine was running really slow and funky in os x
today.  Couldn't figure why.  Then I checked the L2 cache program and it
actually informed me that there had been a crash and possibly I needed to change
the ratio.  Meanwhile the cache was turned off.  I turned it back on and
everything went back to normal.   A good lesson.

I don't know what crash it had sensed, but the machine has been stable with the
L2 Cache program for months.

But he says in the docs, different strokes for different chips.  

You also have to use his arcane set-up method which is a bit of a drag.
