For my needs, the G3 beige boxes are plenty neat. I'm using one in my business for email and browsing and put MP3's on the other two. They're doing a terrific job. iTunes 4 is great, BTW---it streams music across a 10bt network perfectly.
My next project is using netTunes (shareware on Apple site) to remotely control the DT from my iBook; I'm planning to run it headless in a closet as a music appliance...big hd and not much else. Run the audio straight to a power amp to speakers, nothing else.
A couple of questions: first, I'd like to hear (off list is fine) from anyone already doing any of this for tips and experience. Has anyone done any experimenting with IR wireless remotes, maybe USB or serial? Any other lovers of doowop and late fifties-early sixties teeners out there?
And finally, a question that has been bugging me for a while: I just went to 10.2.6 and love it, but what am I to call it? Is it "OS ecks" or "OS ten"????
Best,
Travis
