Hello all,

I've got a G4/400 that I'm looking to upgrade. I checked the UNI number and it is
definitely not able to be dual'ed. I'm wondering if it is worth it to get a new mobo,
so I can go dual? I've seen gigabit Ethernet boards on ebay for under $200.

I wanted to go dual so I could really see and feel some speed improvements. I've heard
that the 'user interaction' performance (window response and the like) will not be
noticeable if I just go with a 1.4GHz single, such as Gigadesigns, OWC or Powerlogix.
Also, I mainly do digital video, so would a 1GHz jump in speed produce fantastic
results? Or would I need a dual plus the 1GHz jump to really notice a difference?

What say you? Or should I wait for the G5 to ship and pick up a whole new (preowned)
machine?
