I am at the end of my tether with my Beige G3 MT. It is determined not to accept any USB card I install. I have been told an original 2 port Keyspan card will definately work, but I havent got hold of one yet.
Belkin's 2-port USB 1.1 card should work.
That said, there is a problem with certain Beige revs (Rev A, iirc) that causes problems with USB altogether.
Also, you *are* installing the USB 1.1 support from Apple aren't you?
