I am having problems burning cds with my beige g3 and external scsi lacie 8x writer.
I have had no problems burning at 8x before until about a month ago. It will only burn at 4x in iTunes and Toast 5 Lite. But 50% of the time it gets half was through a cd and comes up with 'unstable connection to the writer' and then the cd is useless. If I burn at 1x or 2x in Toast it usually goes through ok. But I can burn that slow its crippling. What can be causing it? I havent updated drivers and dont know if I need to. I dont install any when I reinstall os it just picks it up.
