Also being I.E. is not longer being made, will Safari work on 10.1?
No Safari requires 10.2, but then, IE didn't go *poof* off of your drive, either...
That said..10.2 is faster, more stable and better behaved than 10.1. There were huge changes between the two releases.
10.1 was usable over 10.0. 10.2 was usable as my main OS.
