Huh? What are you talking about? The only thing you need to use any 
modem is the software installed by the OS (or easily downloaded from 
Apple) and the correct modem script file. That's it!! Guaranteed. I've 
never found any modem (GV included) that requires anything else. The 
only thing the GV software installs is: fax software, netscape, and a 
bunch of useless crap.

The software on their site is not necessary. At all. Ever. It is fax 
software. The modem scripts are the only thing you need to have, and 
they are already installed by the System.

Dani, be absolutely certain you have the right script selected on the 
Modem control panel. The wrong script can cause many problems 
connecting. You don't need internet setup app, as it's fairly simple to 
set up on your own. Modem, Remote Access, and TCP/IP are the three 
control panels you need to configure.
