I've had 10.2.6 installed on my MT for about 6 weeks now, with no problems at all.
However, over the past 48 hours, some problem(s) have developed.

When I check my mail, Mail will start up fine but when I click on any message, Mail
quits.

I will, also, get the same "Unexpectedly Quit" message when I try to access the
Preferences in Safari (1.0) and the Internet Prefence Panel in System Preferences. I
can access all of the Preference Panels with no crashes except for the Internet Panel.
Let me add, that, Safari runs just fine until I try to access the Preferences. Now, to
add to the mystery, I can access the Mail preferences, with no crash.

Being new to OS X, I'm not as sure as to the solution as I would have been in OS 9. So
far I have tried the following but to no avail:

           Reinstalled 10.2.6
           Reinstalled Mail
Created a new Preference folder (for all preferences)
           Repaired Permissions

I've seen posts at Apple Support where others have had problems with Mail after
upgrading to the latest Safari but I did that several weeks ago, the day Safari 1.0
was posted at Apple. I've had no problems until the last 48 hours.

Thanks to all, I enjoy reading all of your questions and solutions.
