I'm trying to install AW6 from my wifes iMac DV Applications CD on my G3
MT running 8.6. ... It says it requires Quicktime 5,
Gareth, is that because you don't YET have QuickTime 5 installed on the beige, or ?
I'm only familiar with the retail installer for AW 6.0, which comes with QT 4. I've run the various updaters on top of that with success.
...when I try to install that it says it requires installer app 4.5.3!!!!!
Ooh. Sounds like that might be a problem, like a script error due to the non-retail installer trying to be run on other hardware. Notice I'm not passing judgement here, and have no idea if I'm even right but I'd normally expect an Apple installer to behave well.
