iMovie 2 runs in both 9 (maybe even 8.6) and X.   iMovie 3 is X only.  Even if
you have iMovie 3 available in X it is helpful to have 2 since there are
annoying problems in 3, last time I looked.  I keep both on 10.2.6 and while
they won't run at the same time, they don't mind coexisting on the same os.

As for finding a copy of iMovie2, it probably doesn't pay to use Limewire or one
of the other peer networks, since, while you'll find the program, your
conscience might bother you.  Or maybe not.
