I am not 100% sure about yours, but when I went to
connect mine, a regular vga adapter wouldn't work
either, if I am not mistaken, the pins were reversed,
or in other words, I either had male and needed
female, or just the opposite. (This was to connect my
Monitor to a Blue and White). 1705 Monitor.

I bought one at a local mac store.

I have seen some other postings to this list also.
