G3 AIO Display issues

I have a G3/400MHz AIO that I have just upgraded to OSX 10.2 and now I 
am experiencing display problems. Since there are no longer slider bars 
for contrast and brightness I have to do the calibration, but every 
time I restart the display reverts to its original dull display 
properties. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a 
solution? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
