I just hate the feeling of not ziping along,
like you do in OS 9. Let's face it, OS X is meant to
have a G4 with high speeds and a decent graphic cards.

Probably so, but don't discount the value of being able to run OSX on a 233 beige; it makes a great server for MP3 files if you run 10.2.4 or greater and iTunes 4.

The 233 isn't zippy on OSX, but is really not bad for casual web surfing and email. The beige boxes have gotten so cheap that it is great to be able to use them so effectively. It lets you free up your latest machine for more demanding tasks.

Much of what has been discussed here about X vs 9 is going to depend entirely on what you use the computer for. Myself, I don't do any gaming or graphic design, so a 300MHz G3 is more than adequate. Someone who makes his living as a graphic artist will always be able to justify the latest, fastest machine if his time is worth anything. But even the graphic artist can benefit from having the ol' beige sitting off by itself downloading emails and playing toons, thus keeping the DP G5 free of the clutter....
