Rev. B is the one to get.  AFAIK there were only 2 revs.  I myself own a
rev. A and the main problem these guys had were handling more than one hard
drive and handling large hard drives using the on board ATA controller.
However this was solved by getting an ATA card.  Also there have been
reports of blown firewire ports, data going missing, or systems crashing
when transferring large amounts of data via firewire (usually files over
100MB).  You can always solve this problem by getting a firewire card.

Personally (knock on wood) I haven't experienced the problems regarding the
firewire.  I have a firewire DVD-ROM and movies play great through the port.
I did experience system problems when I tried using more than one drive on
the on board ATA port.  I don't even use this port now since I got an ATA
controller card.  Everything works great.
