I have a G3/233/beige with 256megs ram and just the on board 2megs VRAM. I have been using the system with an old monitor that only can handle 640x480. With this set up I can use both OS 9 and OS X.
I switched to an Apple Multiple Scan 14 inche Display and I am now having problems with OS X. With the "new" monitor in OS 9, I can have higher resolutions and it is fine. OS X is a completely different. On start up I get the apple and then the spinning disc. After which the screen goes blank? The system is still running and I can shut the system by pressing the power key and then return. Does OS X have higher VRAM requirements then OS 9 or is my monitor just funky or both? Do I have a VRAM issue related t __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
