any info on why the grey apple on my start-up screen was very quickly changing to a circle-slash, haulting the start-up process and requiring a hard re-boot? I'm speaking on in the past tense, of course, because I reinstalled and all is well; but I'm still curious. I'm on an AGP G4 450 and testing 10.2.6 on a LaCie external FireWire unit (the partition is 8.5GB on an 80-gig drive).
I'm wondering whether starting over a FW connection might cause an issue, but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to OS X -- this is my first real experiment with it! I should confess that I attempted to copy some PS1 fonts I would be using directly to the <Library/Fonts> folder while in OS9. I don't know if this was a bad idea or not, but it was after the copying that my trouble began. should all movement of files be done within OS X? plain*clothes // [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
