Yup. However, looking at the worst case is not a bad thing in and of itself.

I use a Mac for business daily, networking with a home office full of windooze and linux. I use Excel daily, and Word and Power Point more than I like, but, truthfully If I had to get along without MS at all? It's definitely doable.

Between MacLinkPlus and other office products you can communicate nicely with folks stuck in the windooze world. Their products may indeed be ubiquitous, but they sure are not compulsory. <G> I've managed to get by without IE for a long time. I don't even use it on my XP wintel box.

There is life without MS. :-)
