I > have a 10' cable between my beige and an Epson C82 and have had no problems. > > HTH, > Len > The shortest I've seen is a special 11" (inch) serial cable Opcode had special made for one of their MIDI modules, so it could sit atop the Mac and not have such a long length of cord in the back (theoretically it was supposed to improve MIDI processing by some 2k a second, but...).
