This is true unless you have a generic install. I had to get one fot my DT because theiMac disk would not work on the DT.
Is there any way of telling what a certain Mac OS 8 or 9 CD was shipped for/with ? I have a number of CDs and it would be good to know for future reference if I ever need to resque an old Mac in distress...
