My Duron 700Mhz gets smoked by my sawtooth with a G4 1Ghz.

G4 1Ghz = 7Hrs
Duron 700Mhz = 15Hrs

Both are running on a 100Mhz bus.

I'm a little surprised. PIII 1GHz systems seem to be able to do work units in under 6 hours on average (google for: [EMAIL PROTECTED] stats piii).

Cool! Somehow, many of us are not surprised ;-)

Heres just a neat observation:

I have 4 computers at home running the [EMAIL PROTECTED] program. Three Macs
and a PC, (Beige G3 300 MHz, an old PowerMac 7200/90, Compaq 1.4 Ghz
PC, and my PowerBook 12" 867MHz) Which one is the fastest?

By FAR (something like 4 times as fast...) the PowerBook with the G4
SMOKES the 1.4 GHz PIII. Second place? It's a tie with the Compaq and
the Beige G3 within 4 hours of each other (Compaq 4 hours faster...)
and of course, the poor 7200 way in last place! (No surprise there, but
it's chugging away).
