Last post on this for tonight, good folks, and I'll let it rest for the moment. Peter, and others, your opinion: I don't have an ATI Radeon (obviously preferred) but I do have a Rage 128 w/ the DVD decoder card. Here's my prognostication: if Apple DVD player is supposed to be "software-based", should I take OFF the DVD daughter card w/ the presumption that its possibly interfering with the app's attempt to decode the DVD stream?
