I bought a very nice Philips IDE CDRW for my Beige 333. OS X doesn't seem to have any problem with the configuration/startup. However my OS 9.2 takes forever to start, I am using the Toast driver to read it, since the Apple CD/DVD Rom reader freezes. Since this drive probably comes from a PC, can someone tell if the drive is already configured as "slave" and will it affect the startup (could this be the problem?) and how do I fix it I've never had experience with IDE, both my harddrives are SCSI, I have the IDE Zip drive as well, thanks
Lil
