I recommend picking up a RADEON 7000 PCI with 32 or 64 Megs of DDR memory for the PeeCee. Flash it with the Radeon/Mac Bios and enjoy great 3d/2d performance for a fraction of a new Mac Radeon 7000 card.

The AGP macs have a lot more options

Although I'm fairly happy with the onboard Rage Pro chip on the motherboard, I'm looking to upgrade my video.
I don't play games and am not interested in 3d acceleration features, just a card with the fastest 2d performance.
On xlr8yourmac some people have mentioned that the radeon 7000 works poorly in 2d. Could someone recommend a pci card that will increase 2d performance and is compatible with OSX?
thanks.
