Thanks Glenn. That explains a lot. I was thinking
of getting a new hard drive anyway. Do you know a
good source of information for the physical
installation/removal of hard drives?
Re: Tod's question about stange behavior. My G4
won't boot anything lower that 9.2, and it won't
print anything or send it to PDF Writer. I use
the Chooser to select a printer then try to print
something and get a message to use the Chooser to
select a printer.
