Many thanks, but this leaves two questions: How do I determine whether my G4 supports ATA 133, and what is a good site for the how-to nut and bolts (hardware) installation of hard drives.
Your user manual should have instructions on adding a new drive. Also the Applespec database will tell you what speed bus you have.
Both are readily available online at Apple.
