I have two beige G3 333 mhz tower computers now and I am thinking of getting a blue & white G4.
No such animal. Blue and Whites where only G3 (350, 400, and 450 MHZ). I have a 450 and love it!
My question is how can I tell witch models will still run OS 9? What is the fastest G4 that will still run 9?
Use the apple spec data base:

I'm sure everything up to the G4 Quicksilver 733 can boot to 9. After that, things get fuzzy...
I have OS 10 but it lacks to many things I use a lot. For example; I have OS 9 set up to launch Netscape at startup, but I do not know how to do that with OS X. I use the F keys to launch programs in 9.
There is an icon in System Prefs in OS X called "Login Items." Use this to add items you want to launch after the computer has started up. Not sure if F keys are programmable in OS X, but don't think they are. Small price to pay if you ask me... ;)
Thanks,
Glenn
