Is it better to have double density?
Which are ... double density chips? Those with 8, or ... 16? ... ...assuming the 8 are the double density ones ???
Yes, the ones with fewer chips.
Not on a beige G3 because then only half the ram on the DIMM is recognized.
On newer Macs it's usually better because you're running 1/2 the chips, and that usually means 1/2 the heat generated.
Plus you can get DIMMS > 256K.
