Actually, I had a fun time at the local PC store buying my lovely long overdue
40 gig drive for my beige.
Script follows

Me: Blah Blah Blah Blah it's going in a mac...
Computer Guy: Hang on, don't you need a SCSI drive?
Me: No, Apple stopped that over 5 years ago, longer maybe
Computer Guy: Really?
Me: Yea.
Computer Guy: So they all use IDE now?
Me: Yea,  but mac people generally say ATA
Computer Guy: You sure?
Me: Mmm-Hmm...
Computer Guy:  Great, now I know! Cheers, thanks for that!

So at least he was willing to listen and be educated in the mac way =]
