Well, I tried that. It didn't work. I guess I will be taking these things apart, and checking everything inside. Maybe I can find a reset button on the motherboard.

Can't remember which PB model exactly from your original post, but the button is usually in the back by the other ports. Sometimes just a hole for a straightened paper clip, sometimes a small button.
