Will the guts of a Beige Desktop fit in a Beige Minitower case and
Chassis without modification?

Yes, with absolutely NO modifications whatsoever.

(However, although the Beige MT case appears to be an 8600/9600 case, it is
not. The rear is quite different, as is the height).

I understand there is a jumper that needs
to be changed and if anyone has info on that I would appreciate it.

At the left rear is a miniature jumper. The required position is indicated on
the PCB.

But what I'm really looking for is a case and chassis that does not need to
be sliced and diced, unlike a 7200 chassis that needs to be drilled,
sawed, filed, nuked.....You get the picture.

Anything other than a gen-u-wine DT or MT case will have to be sliced and
diced.

The 8600/9600 is perhaps the easiest to slice and dice.

Ron Popiel probably has a new tool in development which will assist in this
conversion. ;-)
