I see your question already got an answer, but why do you 
say it's so hard to find scsi cables?  I live in vancouver
and have never had a problem getting any components for
any of my computers (mac and pc)...

Even London Drugs carrys scsi cables of most types.
If you're looking for something oddball like a cable
with an HDI30 connector on it (for earlier powerbooks)
then you will have to consult the LEM swap-list, or 
ebay..  Or, any local mac dealer will be able to get
one.

I'm saying this because, it's not hard to find scsi
cables, or anything else for that matter up in Canada.
