Am in the market to purchase an External Firewire CDRW for use with various G4
800Mhz eMacs in my school.
I see a recent deal at MegaMacs for an External Firewire Formac 52X CDRW for $96, that includes "Charismac Discribe" software.
How does this software compare to Toast?
As a PC person, you're probably familiar with Roxio's Easy CD Creator. That's more or less just a PC version of Toast!
Discribe is ok, but IMO Toast is nicer faster and more reliable.
Both are a PITA to learn to use.
WRT iMovie integration... I think iMovie really wants to use Apple's Disc Burner software. If that's the case, then you're severly limited as to what make/model CD writers will work.
