Yes, right on.
The "Revolution" is pretty much high-end consumer entertainment oriented,
providing a variety of domestic sound solutions.
The 2496 (for "24-bit, 96k sampling rate) is a low-end professional dig.
audio creation solution, hence the MIDI support as well as audio. However,
and correct me of I misquote, I believe the RCA jacks on this unit are for
digital I/O - analog I/O is handled at the stereo miniplug format, and an
adapter/splitter will be needed to convert to line level connection.
I'll double-check.
