The thread on joy sticks leads me to ask about favorite flight simulators....Any opinions out there?
I liked the Hornet flight sim too, but it hasn't been updated in a long time. I still play with it occasionally on an older Mac, mainly to practice landings on the aircraft carrier. Have you tried Warbirds? It's free, since they only charge for playing online in the multi-player arenas. I also enjoyed it just for the flying, and it's quite a different experience flying those old prop planes compared with the fly-by-wire Hornet. It has a 3D accelerated version, but you can still get the older version that will work without a 3D graphics card.
